It’s not all dribble, good soccer players use their head - Bolaji (1986)
The Proper Culture for Fun Soccer
Soccer is described as the world’s most beautiful sport for various reasons including the fact that old, young, thin, fat, short, or tall, everyone has a good chance at a productive experience in the sport.
The purpose of engagement of some players is simply to kick the ball around. Others with an awareness for effectiveness and efficiency take interest in Bolaji’s program!
This great sport offers players good health - mental and physical. The least players can do is to bring seriousness to playing it.
That’s where Bolaji comes in.
Stages of Learning
As with most any skill, mastering soccer is in four distinct stages. There’re players who run around and kick the ball all over the place - the Unconscious Incompetence stage; they have no clue how to play the game and have no idea that they have no clue.
Bolaji’s program readily guides new players to the next stage, Conscious Incompetence, where they realize their shortcoming. At the next level, players, through severe thought process and focus deliver the finer elements of soccer - passing well, receiving well, and making the right decisions with and without the ball. This is the Conscious Competence stage.
With constant practice and dedication, players get better on the ball and fluidly deliver on various elements of their game. Players have no arrived at the Unconscious Competence stage.

SGV Pistons is a traveling team of women soccer players. They are the more direct channel to Bolaji’s primary goal of influencing the current generation of players with the goal of influencing the future generation. More on Tournament Champions SGV Pistons!
Adult players who’re new to the game, young in the game or simply returning to the game after a long while are accommodated in Bolaji’s patient grooming program.
Young players are assisted to gain a clear perspective on the proper soccer culture - discipline, respect of self and others, especially authorities on the field - the refs.
Ten to 12-year-olds at Houston Westside YMCA (Mad Dogs) benefited from Bolaji’s coaching in 1995-96.
Glendale High School, California, girls JV soccer program (left) had Bolaji’s coaching services Winter 2007-2008.
Easily the most rewarding thing any instructor could receive is positive feedback that is consistent with his/her teaching.
Cristine S. had a brief stint in my tournament team, SGV Pistons, and recently moved to Texas taking charge of the girls JV soccer program.
Cristine’s Feb. 2007 letter in part:
“You bring integrity, skill, and passion to this sport. What I was so blessed to have while I was in California, I can now share with others in Texas...the next generation of soccer players.”
So there, my friends. That, right there, is why I do what I do.
